Picking fonts for your page

Sitemoon gives you every Google Font for free. That's well over a thousand to choose from, which is wonderful and also a little overwhelming. Here's a simple way to pick.

Two fonts is plenty

Use one font for your name and one for everything else. That's it. A third font almost always makes a page look messier, not richer.

• Your name: this is where you can have fun. A bold display font, a serif with character, something hand drawn.
• Everything else: your bio, buttons and blocks. Pick something calm and easy to read on a small screen.

Let your name have personality. Let everything else be easy to read.

Match the feeling

Think about how you want people to feel in the first second.

• Warm and handmade: a soft serif for your name, like Fraunces or Lora.
• Bold and loud: a heavy sans, like Archivo Black or Bebas Neue.
• Clean and modern: a geometric sans, like Outfit or Manrope.
• Playful: a rounded font, like Nunito or Baloo.
• Elegant: a fine serif, like Cormorant or Playfair Display.

Check it at phone size

Fonts that look great on a big screen can fall apart on a phone. Always check your page in the phone preview. Look for:

• Letters that blur together in your bio
• Buttons where the label gets cut off
• Thin fonts that disappear on a busy background

Watch long names

If your name is long, a wide display font might squeeze onto two lines. Sitemoon shrinks long names to fit, but a narrower font often looks better. Try a few.

Let the style do it

Every Sitemoon style comes with a font pair that already works. If you're not sure, pick a style you like and keep its fonts. You can always change them later in one tap.

Don't chase trends

The font everyone used last year will look dated next year. Pick something that feels like you, not like a moment, and you won't need to change it every month.
